Strawberry Mint Smoothie

Strawberry Mint Smoothie

Mint is a great addition to green smoothies so it's worth growing some either in your garden or on your windowsill.

Mint is good for aiding in proper digestion and is cleansing and detoxifying. It is also calming, antioxidant rich, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and mint can help maintain healthy skin.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat or almond milk (unsweetened)

  • 1 fresh or frozen medium banana

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries

  • 1 cup spinach, kale, or other leafy green

  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves

The Add-ons

  • 1 tablespoon flax or chia seeds

  • An additional cup of the leafy green veggie you chose

  • 1/2 tablespoon coconut oil

  • 1 tablespoon maca or spirulina

  • 1 serving of your preferred protein (I like Sun Warrier Vanilla)

Place all of the ingredients into your high-speed blender and blend away for around 30-45 seconds or until nice and smooth.
